    Default 2.8T V6 (250bhp) 07 plate 58k miles - known issues?

    hi everyone, i'm looking at buying the above car and was looking for advice on what to look out for? Is the cambelt due at 60k on vectras? Any turbo issues? Whats the deal with warranty once u pass 60k?

    any info much appreciated.

    The 2.8 seems to be a pretty bullet proof lump so far, although I think i've heard a couple of issues of the header tank cracking from the heat of the turbo.

    Other than that then just the usual Vectra/Signum gripes to check for.

    Good luck with it, you'll love it.

    car is up for 7995. It's an elite auto with vxr body kit sitting on 18's. Is that decent? Will obviously haggle but should I be haggling much???

    I have 06 facelift 2.8T Elite, the engine has been perfect now 70K ish, had gearbox changed for possibly water in transmission fluid but I don't think dealer was 100% on that, I did have the header tank failure which was discovered after the gearbox change, the weeping from the header tank could have been the coolant loss that I was experiencing.

    Still new auto box out of Vx at 57K can't be a bad thing hopefully.
