oil dilema

hi all
im going to change my oil soon and have just got 5L of Unipart fully synthetic
5W/40 oil for modern petrol & diesel engine.
meets or exceeds api sm/cf acea a3 b3 b4 only £17.99 at the Range shop.
could or should i put this in my Vectra-c 1.9 cdti (120).2006

u need a 5/30 bud if u can afford it stick to the gm stuff

The main thing you need to check is that it meets/exceeds GM LL A 025 (petrol engines) or GM LL B 025 (diesel). If it does, then you're fine.

I think 5w40 is fine - it encompasses the viscosity of 5w30.
