    Default CD30 / Parrot / Ipod

    Guys,

I've been thinking of upgrading the bog standard CD30 that's fitted to my Veccie. Mainly as i want to use my Ipod.

I've just come across a system that Parrot now have. The Parrot MKi9200.

Not only does this provide a Bluetooth hands-free facility, but seemingly it gives Ipod usage also.

    Questions are......

Has anyone got one of these installed ?
I assume it would still allow steering wheel controls to be used (using optional connector lead)?

Your comments on this set-up, good / bad / indifferent would be appreciated.

the system works really well and even charges the ipod as it goes
sound quality is digital and although its only about 20 watts output - its plenty - sound comes out of front and rear speakers unlike som others that only work on front - it comes with its own remote so steering wheel buttons dont work on my preface lift but that doesnt really bother me

there are plenty of how 2's on here
main 2 important notes are - remember to reverse the orange and red fused leads and take a permanant feed from the cigar lighter

    hth regards

I had one installed in my Vectra and it was very good. It controlled my Ipod classic fine. I found that you didn't need the steering wheel control module as I put the remote above the light switch as it felt right there.

This set-up seems quite promising then.

Quite possibly it'll be my next purchase once i'm back from my holidays.

Plenty of stuff on here, like this: http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66060

There's an under-used 'search' function which should come up trumps.

The MKi9200 is a great piece of kit. I've got a 2GB USB stick plugged into the lead in the glove box and it's great. The sound is very good. There's also a utility that you can download from the Parrot web-site to set the EQ as you prefer it, although I haven't had a chance to mess with it yet.

    Highly recommended
