Question Vectra V6 diesel turbo lag

Hi does anyone know if a dump valve can be fitted to a diesel engine to get rid of that annoying turbo lag,the car has had a remap and a K&N filter fitted, but when you put your foot down you have to wait, then all hell breaks loose.

Mine doesn't suffer from turbo lag, unless you are at or below 2000 rpm
Keep to 2000 rpm and woooshh.... off ya go!
The next issue is that the clutch can't cope with the torque!

Has your clutch gone yet and if it has what clutch is best to cope with the extra torque?

Fitting a dump valve wont really make any difference worth mentioning as far as your turbo lag is concerned. They only really work efectively on high powered turbocharged vehicles ie 200BHP+ and even then its more for effect than anything (if its an atmospheric one for the tshhhh noise)and not recirculating one. In my experience powerfull diesels do tend to be quite laggy, and then it all happens at once. We used to have a RAV 4 T180 diesel and you could measure the lag on a sundial!
