    Default Creaky doors

    Front doors have started to creak when just about fully open, is there an easy fix for this ?

    They are greased up, i would say its more of a clunk than a creak thinking about it

    Is it the stay? Don't they go a bit funny after a while. Sure I've seen threads on here about them..

    yep, had both front door stays on mine replaced at about 2 years old under warranty. No amount of grease would cure it.

    sorry, like i said mine were done under warranty. I think the inner door trim has to come off as mine were not refitted properly

    yes mate it will need a new stay thay bolt on the inside of the doors and a t30 or t40 bolt on the door jam you will have to remove the door cards to get to the inside bolts it will take about half an hour each side did my dads least week sweet as a nut now

    my drivers door did this but the stay had just worked itself loose tightened up now and all is well no more creaks
