cdti tuning boxes and DPF issues!

following on from an earlier post, been looking at other tuning boxes and there are many out there, anyway I managed to pick this one up on epay

in the description its described as 19cdti dpf, so would this be compatible with models with dpf?

It's hard to fathom what could possibly be the difference between a DPF box and a non-DPF box,since neither have any direct communication with the ECU.

I can only think that the DPF box is set at a lower level when they put the DPF sticker on it ?

I can't see how any manufacturer/reseller of boxes can call any of their range 'DPF compatible'. Given the way they work there's no way that the box can tell if the car has a DPF or not so as DD said it can only be that the box is set to a lower level on a 'DPF compatible' box.
