Possibly, but much cheaper and easier to buy a new car with a turbo engine already in it mate...
Hi mate yes you can Regal do one for the 1.8 have alook on there site http://www.regal-shop.co.uk/ im looking in to it for mine too good luck
not really m8, as you would have to strip the hole enging down and change everything to compensate for thje turbo
cheers guys
i'm sure you can put a turbo on the 1.8vvt engine without having change the internals, but the cost is a bit high.
First of all you need a new exhaust manifold to house the turbo and get oil circ from the block somehow. After that you will need to "change the internals" to lower the compression ratio or your engine will blow up. Then it's down to how much the pistons, rods, cams and valves can take, remap the ecu for a turbo map, possibly change the injectors for more fuel. Emissions? Now that's another headache.. Just my 2p on the subject.
Mate have alook at the link I have posted
Oh look http://www.regal-shop.co.uk/acatalog...nversions.html

if you can handle the cost get it done
4k you'd be mad as a hatter, surely a new car would be more affordable/relaiable
