Default Cleaning of Throttle body EGR & new Sparkers

Well on sat got alot done with the car took the Throttle body off to have a look it was very dirty underneith it and looking down in to the intake manifold it was very dirty as well.

So went about giving it a good scrub could not belive how much gunk was inside the intake manifold but got it all out.

Once that was done I decided to have alook at the EGR I have taken pics before EGR clean and after will post them up later on but the EGR was quite dirty so give that a good scrub too cleaned it the best i could then put it all back together the car was smoking for a little bit after I started it must have been the cleaning stuff that was left inside the EGR stopped after 5 mins lucky.

Once I was happy all that was nice clean and shiney I changed over the spark plugs that was a doddle.

Anyway what I had come to find is I normally average 37-38 mpg today I took it on a long run and I have worked it out I got 46 MPG unbelivable so I worked it out again and it was the same 46 MPG I am made up to say the least the roads that I was using were A and B roads not tonking it just cruzing what I also found it picks up alot quicker too.

So what can I say it was well worth the couple of hours to give the intake manifold and throttle body and EGR a good cleaning

Hi mate mileage is just under 40k

I have really noticed a differance mate think its a combination of the 3 things the intake manifold was the most dirty have to say.

It feels better when pulling and the biggest notice for me was MPG normally its 36-38 and thats working it out manually and the average on the comp says 37.

Now since doing this working it out manually again its 46 and the trip average computer says 47.

I was told we did not have to either but I wanted to take alook haha it was quite dirty will post the pic of before and after tonight on the EGR.

Spot on mate i was made up with the results
