    Default P0400 - 2005 cdti 150

Hi - whilst sitting idle in a carpark waiting with the car on, and AC on also, the spanner light came up and stayed on.

Turned the car off and on again and the spanner light now goes away when the car starts - so just reporting a stored code..

Code stored is P0400 - which I believe is EGR FLOW MAILFUNCTION.

So - only had the inlet and new EGR etc done maybe 3-4 months ago there is no problem taking it back to the dealer as that should be covered under warrenty of the work....
Just wondered if this was a common code as I read its more an information of the EGR not operating correctly and not a complete failure...

    Thoughts??

    Cheers Anthony

i dont know bout the EGR. but my 2.0DTI had a glow plug relay fault. threw up the codes. so they sorted it on warrenty. then about a month later spanner light again. took it back and all it was theyd forgotton to wipe the codes........ apprently. and another "apprently" if you dont wipe them the codes can just reapear when ever the componant in qestion even has a little momnet, eg. overheating if your sitting around.

Dont quote me, just going on what the VX techie was telling me as he was in there with the reader.

Yes will be covered under warrenty as the whole inlet was replaced with new EGR - and that work has a years cover...

I have cleared the code now - so will see if it comes up again..

May just drop the dealer a line anyway and see what they say re that code etc
