Default Problem with Electrically adjustabale front seats

The drivers side front seat has stopped working when trying to adjust the seat positions (height, back, and forward/backwards), via the switches on the out side of the seats, or by the memory presets. The passenger side is working fine.

The position memory is also not working as it will not adjust the mirrors. So i assume that it maybe a fuse, i have check fuses 3 and 5 at the rear of the car and they seem ok, is there another fuse that i should be checking? or can some one offer me some advice what maybe wrong?

The manual talks about an overload and the power supply is automatically cut off for a short time, how is this reset and is there away for checking this or manually resetting it?

    Thanks for your help

I'd try disconnecting the battery for half hour or so. also, can you still adjust the mirrors and open/close the drivers window? the seat works in conjuction with a module in the drivers door.

Have you placed anything under the drivers seat (shopping etc) which could have snagged a cable? is the heating function still working?

I'd check the connection to the module under the seat first in case it's somehow managed to work slightly loose. Then start looking at fuses. I don't know what fuses relate to the electric seats but you manual will tell you.

Thanks for your help, the windows mirrors etc all work fine, so I disconnected the battery and this has fixed the problem.
