Angry dealer spilt brake fluid on car

I have a bit of a problem how do i go about this. i had my car in to the dealers for a major service today and had my brake fluid changed every thing went well, until this evening i decided to wash the car i know evey scratch etc on the body work then i noticed what looked as though some thing had been driped on the top of the o/s front wing it looked still wet.

However when i rubbed it with my mitt it started to peel off then i realised that brake fluid had been spilt when they did the change Where do i stand on this in terms of a claim i know that this was done today and not been there before.

all be it that its only a small drip and some in the inner part of the wing. what will be my next step.

will they try and fob me off and say that it was allready there and i know for certain it wasnt.
im a bit peeved off about this as i have a feeling they will try and fob me off.

any advice on the above will be great
    cheers Craig

by the sounds of things they have spilt it all the way from the resevoire which in my eyes gives them no ground to stand on and depending on the car's mileage this could well be the car's first fluid change which further more helps your case. just take the car down to them and tell them what has happened, see what they say and if they refuse work take some pics and pop down to ur local citizens advice bureu.hth

Just reason with them mate, go down and let them see the damage, they are not stupid, they will know your car was in for a service and coincidentally lost some paint due to a substance perishing the finish, try and do a deal i.e sort it out or your name is S*!T

I would go back and raise your concerns. In any case any decent garage should be putting wing protectors on when working under the bonnent as standad as you would with seat cover, steering wheel cover and paper mats. It annoys me when you pick your car up and there's oily finger prints on your bonnet etc. Good Luck!

If the paint has come away it's obviously fresh, as it will pretty quickly rust up.

Don't let them fob you of mate, it seems to me it's their fault, they should fix it.
