    Default Airbag warning

Every time I start up I get 'Airbag' displaying where the odometer figure usually is for a few seconds. The airbag light built in to the clocks is not illuminating at all. The manual states that if this warning light fails then 'Airbag' will display on the odometer.

My question is, has anyone else had this and what was the end result if you took it to dealer to sort out? (obviously am interested in potential cost, Signum is still under warranty)

This turned out to be a missing fuse. Well thats wot they said. Cost me £35 for labour charge. I did check fuses when I had my previous aircon problem but dont remember not putting any back in. Spose I must have moved one to a blank port. Thats the only explanation. Couldn't admit that to the dealer though:-)

All the fuses and what each of them runs is listed in the user manual. If you don't have the manual, you can buy a copy from your dealer or you can download a copy from various websites.

I don't have the URLs to hand but I'm sure someone will be along who does, especially for one that covers earlier cars because many of the websites only have a 2007 manual and there might be differences for your car which is 4 years older than that by the looks of it.

Haynes doesn't list them either. I presume that the fuses it uses come under another system and they don't tell you which one so people can't try to disable the airbags for whatever reason, or maybe the airbag system doesn't actually have any fuses, possibly for the same reason.

Maybe you'll just have to check all of the fuses in all 3 fuseboxes if you think you could have a blown fuse?
