    Default annoying knock

    hi all my vectra sri has developed a knocking noise from the rear,doesnt happen all the time only when you go down bumpy un kept roads could this be the rear bush's if it is can someone give me an idea of how much it should cost to do both front and rears.cheers

    Sounds like the role bar bush. They are only a couple of quid from the dealers and are a doddle to change.

    the rear arb bushes will cost u £8 dunno about the front but shouldn't be more than a tenner

    No real need for a how 2 mate. The rears are just a single bolt and a half circle clip. Jack up the rear and remove the wheel, If you find the role bar at the back of the hub and follow it round you will find the bush its a piece of rubber with a spilt so you can remove and fit. They are 19mm for the sri, 18mm for the cop cars and 17mm for all other vectras. this is from my local Vx so worth checking what size you have. Its quite obvious how to change them over just unbolt and lift the retainer up and out a bit of wd-40 makes it nice and easy, i also used a bottle jack to lift the hub up to make it easier to re-fit and undo. Once done your knocking should be no more....
