Default Windscreen side trim ( removal )

Hi all, can anyone help ! how do you remove the little strip
of colour coded trim that run up the left & right side of the
windsreen ? mine is the estate, so do the roof rails have to
be removed or do they unclip from under them ? ( hope so ! ! !)
    Many thanks
    Kcs

He means the bit that runs from the side of the screen up over the roof - where the roof bars attach.

They just (carefully) pull off - but if you have the roof rails then I'm not sure how they sit in relation to the those. Do the roof rails go over that trim?

just pull them and they unclip , then they will slide downwards from under the roof bars.
