Default H&R's fitted but not sure!

I've just had a set of H&R springs fitted to my Vectra Elite. They should lower it by 40mm front and rear but the car seems to have gone down by 50mm front and maybe 30mm rear so it seems to look squat at the front.

Im sure its not right but it drives fine, it drives well in fact but just doesnt look as I expected. Before the springs were in it always looked a bit lower at the back so I'd still expect it to be the same as the drop is supposed to be the same front and rear.

The springs were bought using the car's registration number so they should be the right ones for the car.

Anyone had any experience with H&R or had a similar problem with any lowering springs or is this just me (normally the case!)

Not the best picture but you can see what I mean here.... and this is with a boot full of tools etc so its weighed down.

I've fitted the H&R 40mm springs to mine and it sits perfect and drives beautifully. Although mine's an estate so will be slightly different at the back anyway.

I was actually wondering if somehow mine does have estate rear springs making it site higher. Im guessing its just the spring rate thats different rather than the physical appearance of the spring.

if your boot is full of tools ...then I would say they are the wrong springs ...as been said they might be for the estate.

The front usually is the one that looks higher because of the wheel arch design ...

The backs always take more time to settle though, mine dropped quite a bit in a few hundred miles....

Yeah, what Dan said. The rear always take longer to settle due to the significant lack of weight from..well...an engine lol.
Give it a few hundred. Put a few paving slabs in to speed it along.

I was wondering if they sent you springs for for a 1.8vvt and you for example could have a 1.9cdti.....

Apart from the estates, aren't all the rears the same?

    I thought they were...

Again, its another thought that I had as I do have a 1.9 CDTI. I need to get the part number off the box and find out.
