what oils do you use i have a 52 plate 2.2dti

all vauxhalls up to 2006 use the 10w40 and a 5w30 after that u could use the 5w30 if u wanted i did in an astra sri made vbery slight fuel economy improvement but u would need to make sure it meets the gm grade - gm-ll-a-025 or gm-ll-b-025

You need to use 5w/30 synthetic in order to take advantage of Ecoflex service - i.e. when the car tells you it wants an oil change. The oil must meet GM-LL-A-025 or GM-LL-B-05. This oil can be pricy but good oil is good for your engine.

I think that you may be able to use 10w/40 as someone has already said but you would have to change the oil regularly every year. I would personally pay the extra as you only have to pay it every 1 or 2 years.

not every car is set to the ecoflex service and if u use a good qulity 10w40 u dont have to change it every year.

to be honest i would change ma oil and filter every year regardless wot service intervils am on
