Default Just took the vec out and Brakes seeeem C***

Ok i drive a 3.2 06 plate pre facelift vec...Had it for a while...Got my front pads changed front Kwikfit the other day and seriously i had like 15% of the last pads left and THEY seeem soooo much better then the ones kwikfit fit on my car...Rear pads are fine and all discs are fine..

Anyways i know its raining...But i was presssing the brake and SEEMED like nothing was happening...IS it normal in the rain? or is it just me? they Honestly seemed Rubbish (are we allowed to say that?)..

Anyways paid 77 pounds for front brake pads from kwikfit and have an unlimited mileage replacement brake pad warranty thing so dont need to buy new front pads again..But honestly they seem rubbish

probably a very poor compound they use for the front brakes to try to keep costs down, i always use the 'police spec' ones for the veccy, nice soft and grippy feel to them.

I've got an SRi, so they'll be different, but I got my pads fitted at a VX dealer, as they were £65; ATS quoted £60, so didn't seem worth saving £5. At least with the VX brakes, you know they are the right ones for the job.

From experience, I feel that unless you're going for good quality upgrades, you're best sticking to the genuine thing.

I got genuine VX pads fitted all round and there the worst brakes Ive ever had, never bedded in, no feel, and the mechanic who fitted my Springs on Tuesday said the brakes are nearly worn out.........thats in 12000 miles, and I dont brake as much as some people do

I know its an auto and they use brakes a lot more than manual, but 12000 is naff
