    What he just said.

Can't see how they could try and 'deny' it was them either. Damage in that first pic is obviously the access cap to the lock. Not something you'd have been removing for any reason!

My aunt has an Astra ... the car threw up an engine management light the other week, AA come and scredriver the ODBII Plug under her handbrake and clear the code for her.

First thing I notice is the screwdrived marks ....

I think it is all down to Respect ... I also have a Volvo and it is 2 years old and in mint condition (24K miles), the dealer comments on how well I look after the car.

Took my Vectra for its first service, and Vx leave a size 12 oily footprint on my new mats, don't fill the screenwash reservoir (I purposely took it in empty), delayed stamping my service book and couldn't reset my service indicator back to 31K, left it at 15K (eventually fixed though!)

Respect .... need I say any more?

lol - I used to have the opposite problem with a previous dealer and my Astra. Didn't matter how full the screenwash was when it went in for a service, they'd (allegedly) manage to get a sachet of screenwash in and list it on the final bill!! It wasn't so much the cost (it wasn't a lot) - more the principle. I always knew they'd done it as soon as I used the washers as the stuff smelt like a tart's boudoir!! - not that I've been in any (many )

Cant always be avoided, but hey whats a plug to them anyway, you'd think they would replace it anyway, especially if you can see the owner prides his/her car.

Vx were very apologetic ... got the Service Manager ... "Oh, we're training an Apprentice ...."

I did vow never to go bak to that dealership again .. there's one in Wilmslow that actually encourages the owners to visit and talk to the techs while they service the car ... that sounds more like it
