Default Polish or hardglaze or both

Has anybody used Eurochem toughseal or a similar hard glaze (not polish) I am tempted to do my recently acquired black vectra with this but I have only ever polished cars before. Dealers charge about £200 to do the hard glaze but is a diy kit as good.

I have never tried this before. I stick with the 'standard' wax or sealant after a wash and/or correction.
Only thing I would suggest is to make sure you do a very good prep before applying this stuff otherwise you will see any 'nasty' stuff underneath the protective layer that you will have applied.

I had a read of the sticky detailing stuff and it's very good but he doesn't actually use a hardglaze at any point. It's supposed to be a once every 5 year (or less) coating that gives a super tough glaze. It's the coating that dealers always try to sell you when you buy a car new or nearly new, along with the scotchguarded stain proof interior coating etc.

think this is very similar to smart guard and superguard type sealants
imho over rated and over priced
remember anything imperfections or blemishes water spots not completely removed before applying will be sealed in

Some of these are conns and you must be careful. If these things last over 5 years why are there so many detailers out there that are making money off people that have their car detailed 6 monthly or yearly?
