    Default Elite Ride Quality

I own a 03 Elite which is nice to drive but the suspension is a bit soft when cornering.

I would like to tighten it up a bit but don't want to turn it into a bone shaker. I thought an easy way of doing this would be to throw on some GSi springs.

Anyone know if this is practical and if it is okay to change the springs without the shocks?

Also, anyone know where I can source these springs from that doesn't involve paying Vauxhall for them.

    Cheers

    John

I know what you mean about the softness on the Elite, I felt the same about my Signum Elite. I had the Irmscher full kit fitted - see this thread for my thoughts/results.

The GSi springs will lower the car 20mm and firm up the ride. To get the full benefit you will want to replace the dampers as well to have them matched - if your budget allows. Putting 'mismatched' springs onto existing dampers can wear out the dampers more quickly.

LMF Vauxhall can supply parts at good prices, usually cheaper than Vx. Mention vectra-c.com if you call them.

Maybe someone on the site has just replaced spings on their Elite and will be along with info.
