Default Is Unleaded price overtaking Diesel??

Noticed of late that the price gap in my area has closed to almost zero. Could we Diesel drivers finally have a true smile on our faces soon or are they just lulling us into a false sense of happiness?? Thoughts!!!

Yeah, same here - even though unleaded is going up, diesel goes up with it

the only thing that'd put a smile on my face is diesel going below £1 again. Didn't diesel used to be cheaper than petrol anyways? I thought it was a bi-product of the petrol refinement process and was therefore cheaper to produce?

Yep, back in the early 90's, I remember derv being 7-10p a GALLON cheaper than petrol.

In the early 80's, I also remember having to drive miles to several garages to see who sold derv as it wasn't widely available.

Not at ours they are both the same. In fact I think our local Asda is a bit greedy, as there is a shell garage that I go by from tiime to time and their price is the same as Asda.
