Default Downpipe and sport's cat query??

I have noticed Steve is selling his turbo downpipe ad sport's cat - now i have a superchip's map on my car which would be the equivalent of stage 1 BSR and im wondering if its worth my while buying this or would i be wasting my cash on virtually no power gain's??

The BSR downpipe is 3" - then it's 2.5" pipework from there backwards.

Steven, not sure what effect the downpipe would have on your remap. Maybe worth e-mailing BSR to ask them what benefit, if any, you'd get from the S3 downpipe on an S1 car?

Turbo should spool up quicker with the big downpipe. But without the rest of the Stage3 stuff the advantages are minor *I suppose*.

I phoned BSR today (cheers D) and they said that the car would run lean if i fitted the 3" downpipe and sport's cat - simply cannot understand this TBH

you will need the larger injectors(£120) and the new map(£100 upgrade if you have the ppc unit, "I think")

Its a pity you cant transfer maps as you could have had mine as i wont be using bsr anymore....

No point buying them Steve as im not running BSR software. I agree with you Re the selling on of the BSR unit's, reckon they are missing a trick TBH.

Its the running lean bit that is confusing me, if anything i would have thought it would have freed up the flow if gasses, also the Lambda sensor's control the fuelling etc
