    Default check safeguard displayed

    hi all not been a member of this club for long but what i see i like just wonderd if someone could help me out i own a 52 plate vec,c 2.2 sri today i noticed that on the trip computer it is displaying check safeguard ok i havent had the car long so dont know whats what with it yet some any advice would be great,manythanks

    I believe this is something to do with the alarm.

    Could be the ultrasonics (if your car has them) or the rear windscreen heating elements as I think the alarm uses them to know if the rear window has been smashed or not.

    hi there i have a very small crack in the passenger side front window screen at the bottom but thats always been there and this has only just come up on the display

    hi tadpole how did you manage that?i havent done anything i was driving and noticed this being displayed,dont fancy taking the roof lining off though

    Like the thread says, I was attempting to fit an interior rear mirror. I am hopeful Mr Plasma will be able to sort the problem on saturday at the 'Free' day out .......

    Open your boot and take a look down to your left, pull back the boot lining on the side and check the alarm connector hasn't come loose.

    hi there voxer thanks for the reply checked the connections they were still in the back of the alarm so pushed the connecter in to make sure,but no luck i spoke to vauxhall they booked me in for friday they recon 65 notes to fix problem plus parts.

    It's not a Vectra Estate is it? Common area is the glass break sensors on the rear side windows.
