    Default Creaking clutch pedal

My clutch pedal is creaking and it's getting on my t1t5 !
Seems to be coming from the very top of the arm.
Tried various lubricants but still creaks !!!

Anyone else got this problem ?

To be honest I've not noticed it on my Vec-C, however you've reminded me that EVERY Vauxhall I've driven from late 80's models onwards (owned 7 in total) all had the same squeek!! Think I cured most by turning the radio up

You watch, I'll get in mine tonight and hear it lol

I've not got it on my Vec C, but have had it on previous Vauxhalls. It always seemed to be there when I had the heater blowing hot, or on very hot days, and would go away when the temperature cooled down.

It was the spring at the top of the clutch pedal arm. I think the heats dries it out. I applied numerous lubricant and it only cured it for a short while. I eventually came around to using Lithium Grease, and it went and stayed away for good after that.

It's very difficult to see, as it's usually behind the dash. You can get your arm up there quite easily though. I'd recommend a mirror and a torch to guide you.

I've just realised how dirty it is in my footwell; I don't usually see it from this angle. I'll have to get onto that on the weekend.

Its normally the spring as others have metioned, i just got some WD40 and gave it a damn good spray. Then put the floor heaters on full blast, and gave it another spray. Problem Solved.

Quite common on Ford's as well
