    Default Tyre Brands (Part 1)

What is your preferred tyre brand for the Vectra?

I've try to list all I can think of, and have put it alphabetically over two polls.

    The other poll is at:

Kumho for me, had them on most of my cars now and simply cannot fault them - they even show up some "well known" brands too, and (although they have gone up in price) are priced well too.

When I bought my alloys from Rochford Tyres they came with Nexen 3000 215/50 R17 91W. I found the tyres to be really good both wet and dry.

I now have some Aceira's (?) on the front which my mate (!) a tyre dealer put on for me and they are really carp Rubbish grip and even though I have had the wheeels balanced twice (!) I still get wheel wobble going over about 60 mph!!!

Back to Nexens for me as I believe they are good tyres for the price (around £70 ea).

I have Continental's at the moment (they came with the alloys) but I won't be able to afford a set of those so i'll be going back to Kumhos

Started off with Bridgestone Potenza's. Were VERY average. Then slapped on some Kumho ecsta Sports and can't fault them one bit. Took them to a track day and absolutely thrashed them yet came out looking almost the same as before.

Kumho get my vote, just got 4 of the Kumho ecsta sports and i cannot fault them, goot it both wet and dry, next to nothing tyre noise and then aren't too expensive. Has some cheap **** triangle ones before, which were just purely awful, never buy budget tyres again!
