    Default CDTi 150 Missfire

Wondering if anyone has any ideas. My 54 plate CDTi 150 has develpoed an extremely annoying intermitant missfire. On light throttle and cruising i get a miss every so often. I've checked all the connections at injectors sensors etc. It's showing a P0002 fault, Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit Range/Performance, which logs every now and again. It can be months between faults but lately it happening far more regularly. Anyone had this? Any ideas? I'm pulling my hair out.

I'm having a similar problem on my 3.0CDTi. It's caused by a gunked up turbo apparently...

got the same problem on one of my cdti's. Under light/partial load a slight judder/misfire for a cpl of seconds, but under full load is fine.

Is this not usually the symptoms of the 3rd injector - thats what mine was doing before I changed the plug to new type.

Would this bring up a stored fuel pressure fault though?

Well spent some time at it today, the sensor that is reading the fault is the one connected to the rear of the high pressure fuel pump. Anyone had faults with that? I did some digging but couldn't find any info and my local stealers haven't had any fail!! Could it be something simple like dirty fuel? Any ideas?

I've had this problem for a while, then on Thursday car went onto running on 3 pots

Got AA out, he messed about with connectors and it seemed to clear.

Came home last night and it was ok while under power, but coasting upto a roundabout or top of slip road with no throttle on (in gear), once I tried to accelerate it was very rough

Eventually this roughness wouldn't clear and a nice man in his truck came and took us home.

I'd like to know what people think, a could of guys I've talked to think it's a fuelling issue. All the AA man saw that was odd was a high fuel pressure reading he said, that didn't drop as expected when the ignition was turned off. Sounds similar? He got no fault codes from his reader, but said his generic one couldn't read them all. He was surprised I got to engine management light though too....

Mine is still chugging along occasionally, no DTC's at all for it. Already had 3rd injector rewire, but gonna do the other 3 to be on the safe side. Ordered the pack of 4 so will have one spare one if someone wants it.

Defo sounds the 3rd injector plug has packed up for good. Price should be approx £25 for parts and possibly £90 for 1hr's labour at dealers to sort.
