Tourist murdered on Spanish isle
Mr Hobbs travelled to Fuerteventura for a two-week holiday
A middle-aged British man has been kicked to death on a Spanish island.
Brian Hobbs, 52, from Glasgow, was attacked by two men outside a bar in the Caleta de Fuste area on the east coast of Fuerteventura on Thursday.
He was travelling alone and arrived on the island for a two-week holiday on Wednesday.
Officers said they were dealing with "an apparent senseless act of unprovoked violence" and know the identity of the two "local" suspects.
They said there were 30 other customers in the Whikis pub when Mr Hobbs was attacked and he died at the scene.
One woman tried to intervene but was threatened. The men responsible ran from the bar and drove off in a grey Renault Clio car, which officers have traced.
A spokeswoman for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office said: "We can confirm we are aware of Mr Hobbs' death and are providing consular assistance to his next of kin."
that is shocking
Words can`t really sum it up can they , what a horrific way to go ...
