    Default mot advisory

    passed mot today but got a steering system has slight play detected at steering wheel

    I had that last year wilf,turned out to be the tie rod arm was worn cost about £13 a side...........

    yep same here i had new tie rods on

    how do i find out if they are worn or should i just bung em on anyway

    I'd just bung them on wilf,wouldn't know how to check them,they're a common fault on the veccy...........

    i think if you wobble the wheel and there is play in it thats a sign they are worn mate

    when stationary and ignition off i think there is tiny bit of play is it inner or outer i need to bung on or both might as well do em they seem cheap enuff cheers lads
