Hi

Can a switch be fitted to a 2008 2.8 turbo Elite ? my loccal dealer says a switch cant be fitted to any Vectra, from reading the forum I know thats not right.

You can fit it, but its a gamble if it will work

Remove the blanking plate. If there is a blue plug behind it, then it's a possibility it MAY work. If there's no plug, then it's a no go. The switch is usually less than £10.

My local dealer told me that the pre 2005-models has this button, but not on newer. Mine is a 2004, and has the button. Don't see the effort, though...

Uhmm... I don't understand. You have the button and blue plug, but it does'nt work? I have the button, and when activated I get this ESP-symbol enlightened in the dash. And yes, it removes the ESP, but so far I have had no use of the possibilty to disable the ESP. Have tested on a extreme winterroad here in Norway, and the ESP is really a must-have and works far better on the Vectra than many other cars. Only reason I can imagine is if I wanted to have a burnout... Nah, for that kind of fun-stuff I prefer my Yamaha FZX

Sorry off topic but Please how can i dismantle the blank switch i dont want scratch or break anything. thx
