    Default Speedometer Signal

Does anybody know where the speedometer gets its signal from.

On my previous Cavalier there was a connection on the gearbox.

AFAIK, the speed is determined by the ABS module. This broadcasts the signal via CAN bus messages to the instrument panel, display module etc. The radio speed signal comes via the display module.
