confused Help!! What brake sizes do I have?

    Hi Guys,
Brake warning light came on yesterday.

Phoned local motor factors and was told that 302's are £66.00 and 314's are £114.00

Have also looked around the net this morning. I can get EBC disks and pads for the same price (both sizes)

    I have a Signum 3.2 V6 Design on an 04 plate.

Anybody know which one I have?? 302mm, or 314mm...

    Cheers in advance.

    M

No they don't, the early elites had 302's.

An 04 will have 314's though. Easy enough to check - if you look at your front caliper mate, the retaining spring whould be square in the middle. The 302 and smaller calipers all use a spring-type affair which looks nothing like it...

Yep thats the best way to check, but do check! Just because its an 04 doesn't mean it wasn't sat in a yard for a year somewhere before being plated.

Very true. To help matters, this is what they should look like...

I presume the 314mm refers to the diameter of the disc?
