    Default Armed Robbery

Don’t know if its made the national news but there was a armed robbery down our way yesterday (Swadlincote Derbyshire) and the getaway car.

    Vauxhall Signum!!!!!!

Saw the report on Central news, looks like it was a very nice Signum

Apparently it was taken by force in Warwickshire Wednesday night.

    Heres the report

A security guard was shot a number of times during an armed robbery outside a Derbyshire supermarket today.

The incident, which is the fourth armed robbery on a Securicor guard to take place in the area in recent months, happened outside Tesco in Hearthcote Road in Swadlincote at 1.10pm this afternoon.
It is believed the Securicor guard was shot a number of times. He has been taken to hospital to be treated for serious leg wounds but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Two men, believed to be carrying handguns, were involved in the robbery.
They stole an undsiclosed sum of cash before fleeing into a waiting black Vauxhall Signum, which was driven by a third man.
The car was found alight in a car park in Gresley Wood Road, Church Gresley, a short time later.
Police want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or the Signum being dumped and set alight in Church Gresley.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Derbyshire police on 0845 123 33 33 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111

hes in a bit of a mess by all accounts, he had the gutts to give them a dummy cash box, they opened it and when they found out it was empty shot him in both legs (according to the reports)

Say that the Signum is a car that will blend in and not draw attention, not sure what engine it had but if it was a 2.0T / 3.2i or the 3.0CDTI its going to have plently of power as a getaway car but no one would take a second look at it, if it had been the usual scooby / evo or M3 it would have stood out.

If i was a cash in transit guard and a scooby pulled up with 3 . 4 guys in it I would be back in the van in record time

i have to agree on that.

I know its a very long shot but if anyone did see a Black Signum with what looked like the 18" Multi spoke alloys in the South Derbyshire area on Thursday or even on on Wed night which looked out of place the police contact numbers are on the 1st post.
