Absolute Jobsworth! - Challenge 25 Rubbish

Was in the local Tesco store near me and was buying a few bits 'n bobs and me and the missus decided to buy some alcohol, a box of Magners and a crate of Carlsberg.

Anyway, the lady (about 19) on the till rightly asks for I.D. so I show her it... I'm 26. Then she says to my missus do you have I.D. (who is 2 months younger than me and is 25) to which she said no because she never carries it on her.

Anyway, said lady presses button for a supervisor to come over and the supervisor says without I.D. from both of us they can't serve us with Alcohol because of this challenge 25 rubbish. I said I've shown I.D. and my missus is 25 but doesn't have I.D. on her and they said we can't have the alcohol!

I couldn't believe it I mean we both look young but I would say we definitely look over 18!

I think some people just like the power of being able to say "no" and get one over on someone. I felt like going home and getting the I.D. and coming back and saying HERE! But instead we drove to Sainsburys and never had a problem buying it!

That's what my missus said! To which the lady just said sorry we're not serving you with alcohol tonight...

Lol, couldn't believe it.

I can't even say it was better going to Sainsburys because the prices were the same just cost a bit more on diesel and time and effort!

has this before in tascos here..i mean i do look young for 23...but most of my mates dont..were were having a flat warming at mines..we took crate after crate to the till 135 quids worth of alcohol and party nacesities...because i didnt have mine on me they asked us to put all the stuff apart from the food back.....i said in the exact words - stick it up yer arse am going to asda..supervisor was well peed off...all my family shopped their but dont now after that...turned out the lass on the counter stayed in the flat across from me..she couldnt look at me after that...although she i know she didnt get much sleep after coming off the nightshift to come back to my party going on

i love it when this happens, just leave the pile of drink at the till, laugh and go somewhere else !
