    Default What's the Difference

    Hi All,

What's the Difference between the eco service schedule and the Normal service schedule?

Would it be that on the eco service you don't need to service the vehicle until 20k miles.

Or do you still have to service your car every 12months

    Thanks in advance

Personally I'd ignore whatever vauxhall say and just change the oil and filters every 10K, can't go wrong then...D

Eco is variable, depending on driving style, short trips, etc.

With the specially developed engine oil for vehicles with ECOService-Flex, the next engine oil change is due after a maximum of 2 years or 25,000 miles / 35,000 km (petrol engine) or after a maximum of 2 years or 30,000 miles / 50,000 km (diesel engine)

Normal is a fixed term interval.

See http://www.vauxhall.co.uk/vaux/owner...do?method=view for the recommended intervals.

This question would be more for the service stamp to validate the warranty just my services are as follows I bought the car in Oct 2006

    1st service Oct 2006 15200miles.
    2nd service Oct 2007 21400miles.
Hence the reason I am looking at the 20000mile service Interval(but would get it serviced before 20k just I don't see why I should waste £150+ every 6k or 7k a year when I could get the car serviced perhaps every 18mnths.12-15k any opinions?
Would the warranty still be valid ?

Is your car on the eco service flex intervals (I thought Vauxhall had knocked this on the head?) or is it on fixed term intervals?

If the latter, then it's yearly or 'x' miles - whichever comes sooner. If you only do 3,000 miles yearly then to keep your warranty it still needs servicing if on fixed term intervals.

the correct service intervals on the early vectras was :-
petrol 2 years or 20k miles ,variable depending on how the car is driven
diesel 2 years or 30k miles ,variable depending on how the car is driven
in both cases the oil must be long life oil,5w30 (originaly 5w40 diesel,0w30 petrol).
all early models using 10w40 oil, service intervals is 1 year or 20k,all engine types.

2007 on the servive intervals is 1 year or 20k miles
