WHITE SMOKE PLENTY !!lol

I was drivin back from a little shopping trip and on the way back just as i was bout to reach home i heard loads of pressure build up and lack of power and then BANG! first i thought i blew me turbo but realised i covered all the main road with wonderful white smoke after revvin it slightly my bottom end was rattlin like a rattle snake! lol
so engine or is it summin else lol
i wont find out til tuesday when the mechanic starts strippin it down was wonderin if anyone had any experiance like i did and what was the cause....

white smoke is water getting into the cylinders. This could be a new engine as you've said

When my turbo siezed that was what I got a lot of white smoke had to get new turbo!!!
forgot to say mines is a 2.2 DTi

I had a co car 2.0 tdi that belched a load of white smoke and grinded to a halt. The AA guy said the engine had seized but the garage replaced the turbo and all was well, hope it's not the engine.

could be the turbo has broken ...some times they can give a rattle when faulty you need to get it inspected ....

oh well wait till the mechanics had a good look see what the score is then but seems to me engine as it rattles like **** when you rev it and is awkward to start and turn over
but the turbo going shouldnt make it belch out pure thick cloud of smoke more than god can create himself....lol
