you can remove the rad and just seal the ends of the pipe off. As long as its already depressurised. Your not thinking of try to get the aircon to work without the rad are you?

i dont need the air con to work .
so if i remove rad and seal the ends of the pipes the car will be fine?

would i have to join the two pipes together or just seal each one?

    cheers for reply

just seal the end of each one and make sure they are secure and not flapping about and you'll be fine

Rubbish - around £120 for the condensor ( rad ) add another £50 if you change the dryer as well. A couple of seals, and a trip to Kwik Fit -

What you looking at ? Around the £200 mark.

Quick Google gave this site for bits, but I'm sure there's more

No worries - I rear ended someone in my old Cav a couple of years ago. Needed to replace mine then. Whole repair, second hand bonnet, grill and headlights, new slam panel, AND new dryer and condensor only cost me £250.

So, if you can hold a spanner I'd get cracking
