Default VXR gear knob/lever on F40 box ?

Hi ! hope you guru's can help! as per title, will a VXR gear knob/lever "unit" fit my F40 box (2.0T) without any adjustments ? and is this easy to do ?thought I had read somewhere on here that the height may be an issue in regards to selecting reverse ? I presume an (easier ?) alternative would be an irmy gear knob (on its own) ? last dealer I spoke to said a GSI gear knob/lever would fit mine

Well mate, I have a 2.2 direct, 06 plate and the gearknob from the VXR went straight on to mine, and i dont know what gearbox i have

Very easy to fit, all in all about 20 mins, had to adapt the leather as the knob came from an Astra VXR

Its a ball joint at the bottom of the lever, and the old one pops out, and the new one pops in , i had to remove the plastic collar from my ols one and use that for the leather with a few more holes, but not noticable when the trim is back on

I got mine in by putting screwdriver down against the cup, then pushing on the gear stick to act as a lever to press it in...
