are neither working? I would expect the one connected via ethernet to pretty much be plug and play.

Are you trying to get out on the 'net from it or get the two PCs talking to each other to share files etc?

ok so the wireless laptop, have you managed to connect it to the wireless network yet?

To find out if the PC or laptop has an IP, click on START, and then RUN. type in "cmd" (without quotes)
Once you have the black command prompt box up type "ipconfig" (again without quotes). You should then see a whole bunch of details. Look for the IP address one. Is it something like 192.168.0.2 or 10.0.0.5? if so great. if it's 0.0.0.0 or 169.254.x.x that's not so great.

    Vehicle : Vectra C Estate

    Trim : Elite

    Engine : 1.9 CDTi

click on START, and then RUN. type in cmd

In the dos box type PING (then put in the IP address of the other machine)

If you get a reply then you have connectivity.

What is it you want to do btw?

Do you want to share files/folders? If so you'll need to setup file sharing.
