    Default splattered bugs on windscreen..

was wondering if there is any products out there that you polish/apply to your windscreen after detailing that would some how make it easier to get the bugs off when you hit the wipers&screen wash?? ive just come down the motorway(travelling at motorway speeds) and you know when you get to the stage where theres that many dead bugs on the screen that you have to go for the screen wash after putting it off for as long as possible, then its like NOOOOOOOOOO and a massive smeary mess appears, and it takes a life time to clear them. so thats basically what im on about

I usually clean the glass as per normal
Apply a thin coat of salted water on a cloth
Empty the screen wash reservoir and refill with distilled water (boiled water is just as good) and washing up liquid
When used with new wiper blades works brilliant, especially at night

I got a bottle of Simoniz bug shifter, its a spray but open it up, pour half in the washer bottle and keep half for the stubborn ******s.

    Works well for me.

The main issues that causes bug smear is the quantity of bugs in the air and the heat of the windscreen
During the winter it's not such an issue as the liquid rarely cooks after hitting the windscreen and it's the same for bird excrement
During the summer the trick is to regularly wipe the windscreen with water and have a cold airflow
