Just installed my new pioneer head unit & everything was going well until I left the car for half an hour then went back to find my battery was flat! Anyone know what I have done wrong?

Left your headlights on full beam. A head unit cant drain a battery that quick. Gotta be something like that. I can leave my headlights on for a long time b4 the battery start to moan. So 1 radio wouldnt flatten the battery in 30mins.
Could it just be because I have been playing about with the electrics? So it should be ok when i charge it up?Originally Posted by plasma
only way to be sure! you could of shorted a live - but then you would have a bit of smoke plus burning smell!
could be somthing to do with the permanent feed to the radio ?and or the radio has a fault . or your battery is on the way out like mines its fine as long as the radio is not on for any longer than a half hour
Vauxhall red and yellow are the other way around to every other car. So remember that when wiring.
Think I have it sorted now guys. I have bought an ipod & the adapter to connect to the head unit, where is a good place to connect the perminent live feed?
Cig Lighter mate.
Nice one, can i connect the ground to this aswell or do I connect that to the car body?Originally Posted by CDTi
