    Default max outside air temperature...

    when i got in the car yesterday afternoon the digital screen in centre of the dash was just displaying 3 lines no reading at all, was wondering if its got a fault or it just goes off when it reaches a certain temp

    I dont think it has a limit that would normally go out of range, if it does it must have been damm hot. Mine waw near 30 C yesterday as I got in the car

    Mine was 39 degrees when I got back in it yesterday.... I will get the pic off my phone....

    I've seen this before when I forgot to reconnect the sensor, so maybe your sensor is knackered.

    The external temp sensor failed on my wifes corsa not so long back - first symptoms an 'optimistic' reading, before it failed completely
    showing "--.-".
    new sensor = £5 (ebay)
    fitting = 2 minutes
    happy wife = priceless
