Default Advantages/Disadvantages of the traction control

All the Insignia's have a traction control buton, which I assume is on all the time, as when you press it the traction icon appears in the display with a diagonal line through it.

Is there ever any advantage or occasions which would warrant ever disabling it. ?

Would it help at all in snow, enabling or disabling in snow.?

Insignia manual is even thinner than the vectra one you would think for the money they charge they could give you a more comprehensive manual.

lol... still aint got my windows to lock/open by using the keyfob yet, looks like asking the dealer.

You'd want to turn the TC off in instances such as going on a rolling road - but in normal use the main one is on slippery surfaces like snow. Turning TC off can let you get a better grip as the power isn't just sapped at the first sign of a wheel spinning - although with TC off you don't just floor it lol, you need to use the throttle accordingly.

Tbh traction control for me is a pain in the arse as it doesn't work too well on the vectras in my opinion.

It has the tendency to cut all power straight away, leaving you high and dry in places where you most need it. Like Duncan said it's definitely useful in adverse conditions however other than that it gets a little bit irritating for me.

Yep, it can be a bit aggressive in it's operation. Wish I could fit a TC button and turn the darn thing off at times! lol
