    Default laptop vista.....help

    i`m locked out of my admin account on the lap top.....can get onto the guest account on there but it won`t really let me doin anythin....an missus can`t remember the password cos she used somethin obscure....

    any help? i`ve already searched around a bit on here and other places

    Is your admin account your main account? I fnot I would use your main account and disable the admin one m8 its not needed.

    there are programs on the internet that run from a usb stick on boot and remove the passwords from a command like interface.

    yeah its the main account an can`t get to any of the baby`s newborn photo`s or anythin.......tried all the exploits and ways round it i can think of,renaming partsd of programs and other hacks for it to let me in a back door,but i can`t get into it

    they all need it to boot from a disc or usb stick and i can`t get into the bios 4 some reason it don`t give me the option to boot up from anything else,i`ve got all the discs and programmes to change/erase passwords but can`t get into the bios to make it boot from cd.....an to top it all its now run out of battery so i can`t have another bash till mornin

    The bios is fairly simple pull the battery whilst not plugged in and short across the battery terminal and it will reset the bios. Then try whatever you have downloaded. I used active@undelete when I wiped all the info ona harddrive and it was the only program which worked so the company is good. ry the Active@ password changer as described here - http://itsvista.com/2007/04/itsvista...-a-reset-disc/

    i can`t even find the bios.......lol some reason it just won`t tell me where it is on start up....only pressing f2 gives me a few options on how to start vista but nothin i want,i want it to boot from a disc 1st........acer piece of rubbish

    del, try your F keys, Ins, Tab. F2 will be giving you boot options probably asking whethre you want to restore last seesion etc or go into safe mode

    na just taken me to safe mode and all that rubbish....if i can get into the bios i can boot the discs and recover the passwords..........lol i give up tonight

    If you have the start up discs thats the easiest way. I presumed you hadnt made any like everyone else
