    Default Protection for Alloy wheels

Got the wife to give my new alloys a clean today, using autoglyms wheel cleaner, certainly not as easy to clean as the old Structure wheels with the plastic trim, but they do look nice though.

I got here to give them a coat of Auoglyms Resin polish afterwards as I thought it may help to make the cleaning a bit easier next time.

Is it worth using a dedicated wax sealant ? or whatever so the brake dust comes of easier in future, that brake dust certainly does'nt like to come off that easy does it. I'm just trying to make her job a bit easier next time....lol

How often do you see a female old age pensioner sat on their bum cleaning alloys.
Must find her some more work to do on the car.. hmmmm... let me think!

I use a dedicated wax and sealent. But non of them that I have tried work anywhere near as good as the equivelent in paint wax/sealent. It is something to do with the heat from the braks. But I do think they (dedicated wax/sealent) is usefull. But also I find that regular washing of the wheels, even if you don,t wash the rest of the car, will help to keep most alloys clean and looking nice.
