i wouldn't, just give it a couple of soaks in snowfoam and they'll fall off!

If you haven't got a washer and lance, just a bit of fairy diluted would do the trick. Just remember to re-wax afterwards as there will be none left!

Gunk is an engine degreaser, definately not recomended for bodywork. I used Tesco's insect remover and was very impressed with that.

Yes Gunk is a de-greaser, but I dont recall it damaging any paint work on my old cars years ago, but not worth taking the risk. I used it mainly for cleaning engines etc. though I'm some would have gotten on the paintwork.

The suds oil that they use for cooling down drilling bits and cutting tools in the engineering industries is AFAIK identical to Gunk. It smells the same, goes white when water is mixed with it, and behaves exactly the same as Gunk but its much cheaper to buy, and in my case at the time it was free to me. I've always swore it was the same product.
Dont think I'd use it for removing insects from the car though.

Suds oil yes you could be right there, but the main reason for not using on body work is that if it dissolves grease then it will definately lift off any polish from your paintwork. The paint on modern cars is different to the older ones

AYS I'm sure it would remove any wax, and as for possible paint damage I personally would not use it on paintwork on my car. Modern paints are totally different to those used 30+ years ago.. Just not worth the risk.

if you like gunk products then try gunk bug and tar remover, its good stuff, spray it on leave for a minute then just wash them straight off.
