Default wanting to buy warrenty for my car

does any one know a good level of cover to cover the probs like dmf and swirl valve problems that would be repaired and fixed with out having to argue with the claim company, prices and companys would be great and also if any one has made claims for these items how smooth was the claim as i have just been reading tesco warrenty and it looks very good

With direct warranties..Go online ask them for a quote..Few days later..someone will ring u up then ask all the questions or ring them up yourself and ask them..but theres dif types of cover i think..I would have gone for it but they wanted too much.

go AA.. i checked warrenty direct and they said they would only over if the car broke down and stopped. the AA said if a light came on then they would cover or if you were worried and as long as there was a problem they would cover it. i had the cover 3weeks and the dmf failed. not a problem coved and only cost me £150 . (slight difference in there max amount paid per hour and where i wanted to get it fixed, you can choose that too! if you get it fixed with there approved ppl the cost wouldnt have happened) was v happy

Just for reference ... I just called the AA Warranty hotline. They quoted me £311 for 1 year on their 5* cover and £246 for 3* cover (excludes abs, turbo and aircon cover). I'll be taking out a warranty soon, but will shop around a bit more first. I'd like to pay ~£150 though, just to cover my basics components.

Here's a link to the website (not linked via the theaa.com) ...
