    confused Respray advice

OK, I posted a while ago about the wife's 'pink' corsa .
Had a couple of guys quote for a good machine polish and both of them said that the paint was too badly oxidised and not worth the money as it wouldn't last and to cap it off the lacquer on the rear spoiler has started to blister and peel.
The car's V reg so about to have it's 10th birthday. What sort of ball park figure are we talking about for a spray job ?

It's not got many rust spots and only a couple of small supermarket dents.

Got a nasty feeling it's not going to be worth it but the cars sound and the wife has decreed that she doesn't want to change it.

Got plenty of no claims Would have thought that it would be just "fair wear and tear" though unless you are suggesting something else

Cheers for that, got accidental damage cover. Will have a read through the policy book. Just concerned that the respray cost would be more than the value of the vehicle so would be an effective write off.
