well www.askmid.co.uk has the correct info,the rac web site has the correct info,vauxhall have the correct info so why the insurance companies info wrong?

I'd hazzard a guess that your car may have been incorrectly registered when new, and that the insurance comaprison sites are using an old database.

as above. I bought my car with a private plate on it. On some insurance websites it comes up saying its a BM 740i. The website must be using an old database.

mine comes up as an expression on askmid and on norwich union certificate. whoops mines a exclusive i better get it changed, had it from new tho????

Whoever you took your insurance out with rated it incorrectly. Best to get it changed as if your ever stopped Mr Plod could get shirty and in a worst case scenario impound your car!
