i think depends on the car was pre - wired for the telephone mate or if the loom is there. if it is then you can probably just get the parts.

Is there an easy way to tell with the unit out? Just had mine out and see four connectors: 2 arial inputs I assume for both tuners, one small block multi connector and one large block multi connectpr which contains outputs for speakers, power etc.

    Cheers!

I can't answer your question, but thought I would pass on my experience...

Mine is a SRI 2006 and I have the CD70, on top of the CD70 there was a drawing showing the Quadlock and where to find the required pins, it showed everything but the mute. My CD70 does not mention the phone at all, so I assume that if it did then it would be pre-wired?

We were trying to fit the Sony Ericson Bluetooth HCB-300, and found that on the back of the unit we didn't have mute, so we had to buy a mute lead, and we also had to find an ignition lead for the ignition sense.

The part number of the lead was 06-122B.

Works really well, and was well worth buying that lead, the small speaker supplied with the kit just wasn't good enough!

    Cheers bluetba,

Really useful info ... it's one of those 'I would like to when I get time and some spare cash' projects but really good to know ... I think from what you have said I will also have to purchase those leads ... I remember thinking something similar about the diagram on my unit.

I have the same question? I am collecting an SRI on Saturday, It is a 2006 with the CD70 colour sat nav unit fitted. I looked at a Signum with the phone pack fitted, the signum had the same sat nav unit, which turned into a bluetooth phone connection with the ability to download my address book and be hands free, using the cars speakers - So can I retro fit parts & maybe software to mine? If so how? If not which hands free kit would YOU reccomend? Cheers...

Cant help with your 1st question mate but if you go aftermarket i would def recommend THB (<Clicky - Uni Take & Talk) I do work at the only UK importers but they are genuinely a good kit and you can change cradle's if you swap phones

I have the K750 kit in my veccy, didnt put it through stereo as i have amps etc and you can get interferance (with any kit) but still sounds great through the seperate speaker

I have been using an Orange SPV m2000 with the Sony Ericson Bluetooth HCB-300 since my last post, still working really well!

Sound is going through the CD70 and quality is good for me and the other person.

A nice feature is that because it is bluetooth it will handle up to 7 phones (not that I have 7!) but the other half loves the fact that the light turns purple when she uses her phone in the car - helps justify the £50 + cost of the mute cable!

You said that you looked at a Signum with the phone pack fitted; out of interest was there a button to activate it? or did it have any extra buttons compared to the CD70 you are getting? Must admit when I first picked up my car I thought it had the car kit because of the way the number buttons are laid out as in they look like a phone pad!

i use the nokia ck-7w, its works very well, the mut lead was £35 and just plugs straight into the connector taped near the radio. no hunting for power leads.
