Radio problems

My veccy 2.2ls has been off the road for the past 6 months and the battery went flat, so the radio display came up 'safe' when it was recharged. The code card is missing so I was planning to use an internet coding service after the car went through its mot. However since picking the car up the radio/date/time screen has gone blank and except from a bleep when you press the AS button the unit seems dead. Is this normal or is a trip to the dealer required?

you can just ring the dealer up who supplied the car and they will give you the code over the phone mate i did with my old vectra c

What radio is it mate ? As your profile says 05 veccy i would assume 05 would be full canbus radio CD30 or some thing.
If it is then you will need to get it paired again as its lost the code
